At the outset allow me to extend my thanks to the Afghan Immigrant Association of city of Apeldoorn, the Municipality of Apeldoorn and all of thosewho have taken part in organizing this gathering to discuss how to curb andcombat violence against women and to explore ways to empower women ofAfghanistan and to commend them for excellent arrangement. As ambassador ofthe Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, it is my pleasure to attend at this important meeting.

As the first Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, l am pleased to welcome and thank you all for joining me and my colleagues to commemorate the 92 anniversary of the Independence of my country. Ninety two years ago our people under the leadership of our greatest national hero King Amanullah Khan regain independence of Afghanistan.
The love of Afghans for freedom and respect for self determination is well known to the world and I am quite sure known to your Excellencies as well.
Deportation of an Afghan family open letter 9th August 2011

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands welcomes the decision of Mr. Bert Bouwmeester, the mayor of the north-eastern municipality of Coevorden, opposing the deportation of an Afghan family with two children 9 and 11 years of age, on humanitarian grounds.
It would be so wonderful if the other Netherlands authorities follow Mr. Bouwmeester's example and refrain from expelling Afghans from the Netherlands till that time the condition is suitable for their return.

On the 9th of May 2011 the Kingdom of the Netherlands Ministry of Defense Military Academy invited H.E. Mr. Enayatullah Nabiel Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to deliver a lecture to the 2011 Academy Graduates and answer to the participants questions.

On March 31, is the exhibition Fragments of Tradition, Beauty and Hope, photos by thirteen young men and women from Bamiyan opened by Mr.Ben Knapen, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Prince Claus Foundation Gallery. HRH Prince Friso Honorary Chairman of Prince Claus Fund, The Afghanistan Ambassador H.E. Mr. Nabiel and H.E. Mr. Turabaz, Honorary Consul General of Afghanistan were present at the opening. In the province of Bamiyan, located in the Central Highlands of Afghanistan, were thirteen young men and women from different districts invited to look to their environment through the lens of a camera.

The Association of Honorary Councils in Netherlands on March 29th invited H.E. Enayatullah Nabiel Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to deliver a speech on the role the Honorary Councils are playing between their countries of origin and countries of residence. Below is the text of H.E. Nabiel on the important role the Honorary Councils have been playing in the course of history and the important role they are playing now i promoting trade and commerce and understanding between the people of different countries. Ambassador Nabiel also updated the participants on the latest developments in Afghanistan and answered their questions. The meeting took place in the Park Hotel, Rotterdam.

Based on H.E. President Karzai vision reflected in his second inaugural speech and decisions of the London, Kabul and Lisbon Conferences on Afghanistan, the Afghan government is committed to take the responsibility of Afghanistan security by 2014. This important undertaking requires that, a well trained, well equipped and disciplined security force including civilian police force be in place by that time.
